Greetings! We're the Bushmans, a family deeply passionate about Corgis and committed to sharing their joy with others. In our small and dedicated kennel, we take pride in fostering not only a personal connection with our Corgis but also with everyone joining us on this exciting journey. Get ready for a unique and caring experience that defines Rocky Mountain Corgis. Excited to introduce you to the wonderful world of Corgis, let's dive into our background and discover what shaped the legacy of Rocky Mountain Corgis. Laura Bushman stands as the driving force behind every interaction at Rocky Mountain Corgis, seamlessly managing communications through calls, texts, emails, and social media. Her lifelong passion for animals traces back to her early years, marked by the companionship of her first dog, Princess, a dachshund. Laura's journey unfolded in the world of Miniature Horses, starting at the young age of 7. Notably, she represented the American Miniature Horse Registry as the 2007 National Queen, an experience that traversed the landscapes of Washington, New York, and countless places in between. It was on this adventure that the love for the corgi breed began. Laura's connection deepened with Roxy, her first purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi, who became more than a pet; she was Laura's cherished companion in life, leading her to the breed that would become integral to the Bushman family. In contrast, Nathan's upbringing was immersed in farming and managing a beef cattle operation in Utah and Idaho. His involvement in the FFA during high school led to a passion for show cattle, culminating in an annual club calf sale every fall. Nathan's journey in education spanned a decade, teaching Biology and serving as an FFA Advisor. Transitioning into administration in 2015, he currently holds the position of a Middle School Assistant Principal. Despite the fulfillment derived from his job, Nathan harbors a longing to spend more time in the pastures and improving their genetics. |
The convergence of Laura and Nathan's paths occurred in 2014, kindled by a mutual friend during stock show events. Together they run Bushman Cattle Company, where they sell club calves and offer custom-cut beef year-round. The family's commitment to agriculture extended to the establishment of Rocky Mountain Corgis in 2017, a collaborative effort with Laura's family and esteemed mentors, Hot Water Farm and Impressive Poms & Finest Frenchies. All in all, this is a family run business. They love what they do and love sharing their love for agriculture to all those who are wanting to listen.
